I have loved drawing, writing stories, dressing up, singing, and dancing ever since I was a very little girl. I also grew up on video games -- I can remember playing on my father's computer, Atari 2600, and Commodore 64 even as a toddler. As a kid I played a lot of Nintendo. I also watched a lot of cartoons and especially loved the Nintendo cartoons in the 80's. I collected the Nintendo comics, and they inspired me to draw my own comics. If I wasn't playing games, I spent all of my free time drawing. I discovered anime in 1995 when I saw Ronin Warriors on TV. From there I learned more about anime and conventions through this shiny new thing called the Internet.
In 1998 I created my first Web site, The Ethereal Fortress, to promote my art and stories. I was so excited about the Internet and being able to share information with the world that I bought a book on HTML, learned it overnight, and had a site up and running the next day. I joined the Fan Art Mailing List (FAML) and Online Comic Artists Directory (OCAD), where I met many amazing people and learned a lot to improve my skills. In April 1999 my mom helped me make my first cosplay and I entered a cosplay contest in San Francisco Japantown. In July 1999 I attended my first anime convention, Anime Expo 1999, where I met many cosplayers as well as art friends that I'd made on OCAD. After that, the San Francisco Bay Area members of OCAD decided to start BAAU (Bay Area Artists Unite), a group that would gather on a regular basis to hang out and draw together. These art friends also introduced me to J-pop, thus starting my idol obsession.
In February 2000 I started my cosplay Web site. Since then I have attended many conventions, made many costumes, participated in many events, and met many great people. Unfortunately I haven't been drawing as much since my college days. My focus now is more on cosplay and fashion. When I was in high school, a teacher asked me if I wanted to become a fashion designer, because I drew pictures of girls every day in class. I hadn't thought about it until then, but cosplay helped me to see how much I really do love clothes and fashion, even if my style is different from the current trends. I love Japanese fashion and Lolita fashion hope to launch my own brand that mixes cute, feminine elements with practical styles for today's strong-yet-sweet ladies.
I also love performing on stage and have combined my passion for idols, cosplay, and dancing to form Angel Hearts, a cosplay dance group. We have been performing songs from J-pop, ParaPara, games, and anime since 2003 and are best known for our IDOLM@STER dance shows. I am very happy to see that idols have grown in popularity, and hope to continue to spread smiles and share my love of idols through high-energy performances.

ParaPara Bio: I have been dancing ParaPara since December 2000, when a friend who'd just visited Japan introduced me to the ParaPara Paradise game and taught me "NIGHT OF FIRE". I am a fan of the ParaPara Paradise series and the ParaPara All Stars. My favorite Paralist is Ryoko of the PPA, and my favorite routines are "FEVER THE NIGHT", "EVERYBODY DANCE", "LET'S GO TO THE SHOW ~K2 THE AUTO MESSE", "velfarre 2000", and "BAZOOKA PISTOLERO".
I've been obsessed with cats as long as I've been alive! When I was growing up, my next door neighbor was a cat fosterer, so I've always been surrounded by cats. I had two black cats named Nightshade (whom I lovingly called "Pig") and Lumina (yes, this IS a Secret of Mana reference). I swear Nightshade had the softest fur ever. She was also full of personality (and a little crazy)! Lumina, on the other hand, was very skittish. Lumina died in 2011 at 14 years and Nightshade died in 2014 at 17 years. I'm hoping to adopt some new furry little friends by the end of 2015.
Sometimes people tell me I'm like a cat! I sleep a lot, love warm sunny spots, am easily distracted (especially by birds, butterflies, furry little animals, and shiny things), like to eat fish, hate citrus, have a heat-sensitive tongue, and am shy and timid around new people. Maybe I'm a real catgirl! =^.^= Hehe~
Roses are my favorite flower. I am kind of obsessed with them. Back at my parents' house we had 40+ rose bushes. My favorites are Daybreaker, Black Magic, Chicago Peace, Rainbow Sorbet, Cherish, and Moonstone. I also love azaleas, ornamental cherry trees (kwanzan sakura in particular) and crepe myrtle. You will definitely see a lot of flowers, especially roses, in my designs.
I have been playing Ragnarok Online on the iRO servers since January 2002, Open Beta Testing. I continued playing when the the servers were rebooted and the game went to Closed Beta in December 2002, and some of my current characters are as old as the server. I am a casual player, but somehow I keep coming back to this game. I love immersing myself in the colorful scenery, cute designs, and catchy music. I have 29 characters across both Classic and Renewal servers. On Renewal I focus on collecting headgear. On Classic I sometimes participate in War of Emperium with Chaos Flame.
